Group Menu

The Group Menu contains miscellaneous functions pertaining to groups in an equation.

Command	Description
Align Left	Aligns group contents left.
Align Center	Aligns group contents center.
Align Right	Aligns group contents right.
Align Default	Uses the default alignment for a group, which is determined by context in some cases. For example, the default limit alignment for a summation or integral is center if the limits appear above and below, but the default alignment is left if the limits are displayed inline.
Align with First Baseline	Aligns a group with the baseline of its first line. For the main equation group, this means the text surrounding an embedded equation is aligned with the top line of the equation.
Align with Last Baseline	Aligns a group with the baseline of its last line. For the main equation group, this means the text surrounding an embedded equation is aligned with the bottom line of the equation.
Align with Middle	Aligns a group with the baseline of its middle line if there are an odd number of lines or with the vertical middle of the equation otherwise. For the main equation group, this means the text surrounding an embedded equation is aligned with the vertical middle of the equation.
Decrease Size	Decrease the font size for the group containing the caret by 1/16 its normal font size.
Increase Size	Increase the font size for the group containing the caret by 1/16 its normal font size.
Reset Size	Reset the font size for the group containing the caret to its normal font size.
Nudge Left	Nudge the position of the group containing the caret to the left by 1/2 mu.
Nudge Right	Nudge the position of the group containing the caret to the right by 1/2 mu.
Nudge Up	Nudge the position of the group containing the caret upward by 1/2 mu.
Nudge Down	Nudge the position of the group containing the caret downward by 1/2 mu.
Reset Nudge	Reset the position of the group containing the caret to its normal position.
