Spaces-Ellipses-Aligners Palette

The spaces-ellipses-aligners palette contains a variety of spaces and ellipsis symbols. It also contains the three types of aligners that can be used to align parts of a multi-line expression.

The first space entry in this palette opens the Insert Space dialog, and this is where spaces of arbitrary size can be added to an equation.

Selecting the figure space entry causes a space to be inserted that has exactly the same advance width as the number character zero in the upright style. Similarly, selecting the punctuation space entry causes a space to be inserted that has exactly the same advance width as the period character in the upright style. These are useful when dealing with numerical text in tabular form.
