Mathematical Typesetting
- Radical Pie has three editing modes: math, chemistry, and plain text. Different layout rules apply in each mode.

Drawing and Annotation
- Radical Pie includes drawing tools for highlighting, boxes, arrows, dashing, etc.
- Drawing objects are attached to live anchor points within an equation, and their positions and sizes update automatically as an equation is edited.
- Annotations can be attached to drawing objects, and they can contain simple labels or their own complex equations.
- More drawing objects can be attached to anchors within annotations.
