Special notes

Symbol Unicode Notes
U+00B0 The degree symbol is designed to have the proper vertical alignment when used directly in the surrounding text. It should not be placed in a superscript.
U+1CEF0 Unlike the degree symbol, the standard state symbol should usually be placed in a superscript to give it the proper size and position.
U+EE30 The chemical bonds in this palette are meant to be used in simple situations where something on the left is bonded to something on the right. These symbols are not part of Unicode. The Radical font contains additional inline bond symbols in the private use area beginning at U+EE30. More complex bond structures can be constructed with the bonds palette.
