Equation Menu

The Equation Menu contains miscellaneous functions pertaining to general equation editing.

Command	Description
Math Mode	Puts the editor in MATH mode.
Chem Mode	Puts the editor in CHEM mode.
Text Mode	Puts the editor in TEXT mode.
Cycle Layout Variants	Cycle through the different layout variants of the structure containing the current selection. This provides a quick way to change options such as the limit placement for a summation or integral. The same changes can always be made in the Properties dialog as well.
Populate Matrix	If the caret is currently inside a matrix cell, then a copy of the entire cell is made, and the same expression is pasted into every empty cell belonging to the same matrix.
Make Phantom...	Turns the current selection into a phantom expression that retains its width and/or height but does not get drawn in the equation.
Release Phantom	Restores the expression from which the selected phantom was previously made.
Insert Character...	Opens the Insert Character dialog.
Insert Matrix...	Opens the Insert Matrix dialog.
Insert Arrow...	Opens the Insert Arrow dialog.
Insert Space...	Opens the Insert Space dialog.
Insert Tab...	Opens the Insert Tab dialog.
